Dr. P.A. Kiss

When I was about 12 years old, 26 out of my 28 teeth had at least one filling and many of them had more. Restoring that many teeth is not an experience that I would like anyone else to go through, particularly children. It was at that point that I began developing an interest in preventive dental care, and I geared my schooling towards a career in Dentistry.

Following high school, I obtained a diploma in Dental Hygiene from Vancouver Community College, and have been a practicing Dental Hygienist since 1988.

I wanted to further my involvement in my patients' dental care and attained my Dentistry degree from the University of British Columbia. I have been in practice since 1996.

I was born and raised in Kamloops and have lived my life here, aside from my schooling in Vancouver. I share my life with my wife Tara (who was also born and raised here), and our two young girls. I am highly committed to keeping current in proven dental theory, practice and technology. Through continual investment in equipment and technology, and continual education of myself, my staff and my patients, it is my goal to provide high quality dental care with a strong emphasis on prevention.

I also believe that a person's approach to the care of their teeth can be shaped quite significantly by their early experiences with dental professionals. To this end, my goal is to create as positive an environment for my younger patients as I can. (Of course, it is important to create a good environment for the not so young ones as well, but the younger ones need particular attention.)

I would like to extend a welcome to new patients and a thank you to current patients. As my current patients know, I am happy to answer any questions at any time.

Dr. K. Forrest

I was born and raised in Montreal then attended the University of Toronto to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree. This was followed by a Master of Science degree in medical genetics at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. After spending a few years in research I realized my true passion was for hands-on patient care and decided to pursue a career in dentistry.

I attained my Dentistry degree at the University of British Columbia in 2008 and chose to relocate to Kamloops with my husband. The strong sense of community, and a wide array of outdoor activities, especially skiing and camping, attracted us to Kamloops and has proven to be a wonderful home to raise our young daughter. Since moving here I have been very fortunate to work with Dr. Kiss and the wonderful staff at Pure Dental. As well, I have had the great opportunity to build a practice with friendly and committed patients.

My overall philosophy in practising dentistry is to establish and maintain healthy teeth and gums in a friendly, caring, pain-free environment. I believe that it is important to establish an open and trusting relationship with every patient so that individual needs can be met and that each patient is a participant in understanding and preventing dental disease. As my ultimate goal, prevention of disease is best accomplished with education and by providing a thorough dental exam to evaluate the teeth, gums and oral tissue. If treatment is required, I will work with you to make decisions and create a plan that best fulfills your needs and expectations.

Our practice welcomes patients of all ages. I strongly believe that good oral health is fundamental to a child’s overall health and development. An early first visit to the dentist is important to introduce the dental team, educate parents and prevent tooth decay in young children. We strive to create positive experiences and develop healthy dental habits that will last a lifetime.

We are a growing practice and welcome new patients. I look forward to meeting you and your family!

Dr. S. Palasty

I graduated from the University of Alberta in Edmonton in 2010 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS). Thereafter, I attended the General Practice Residency program at the University of Alberta Hospital for the last year (2010-2011).

I was born and raised in 100 Mile House, BC. I have spent the past 8 years in Edmonton, Alberta obtaining my degree in medical sciences and dentistry. It was in Edmonton that I met my lovely wife Lori who was born and raised in Edson, Alberta.

In my free time I enjoy playing hockey and soccer. I also spend a lot of time doing outdoor recreational activity such as hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing, and walking our young German Shepherd puppy Riley.
